Lost Postcard

 I will be standing somewhere you don’t know

I will be looking out from behind the door

As hard I try to break free of you

And I gently slide back into your wicked charm.

Through all this time I’ll talk to myself

Whisper words of encouragement, of not letting this go on

You my boy will sit in your princely attire

While I dread the word, and times bygone.

There will be empty glasses and left over food

And sleepless nights just to fool around

There will be reruns of the same crappy TV show

And poetry that flows without the usual bound.

I wish I was the kind that doesn’t give a shit
But I’m a far cry from those lucky ones I swear
I’ll still care for you even if I don’t want to
I’ll still stoop back to your secluded lair.

I hate you and your adoring face

I hate the fact that I am so weak in my skin

I hate how you make me feel unarmed and chained

I hate how you never let me win.

Still I’ll stand somewhere from a distance

I’ll try to utter words I’ve practiced so hard

You may bet I’ll fail for the umpteenth time

And will be hanging round like a lost postcard.

Chocolate Cake!

And I swear not one person died eating the shit! YAYAYAYA!  I feel like I've climbed the stairs of self actualization!! (not!)

Anyway, I've been pretty much neglecting this little space because of some FIITJEE stuff I have to deal with. Other than that, it's been pretty good..gorging on huge amounts of BnR and getting back on the field with my running shoes on and hanging with the BEST PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF PLANET EARTH.

Give me 2 weeks and I'll be back on track,

My post : Imaginary lover

Someday I'll meet you by chance. The circumstances of our life will over the years bring us to a merged path. I imagine that from then on we will see the world differently. As I meet you, an aura of silence will spread. The  words that used to come out with ease somehow will not be exchanged. A blush, a quivering smile, a look away to gain composure. Somehow we will drop our guards and stare at each other, bright eyed...our gasps will be louder by the second. The sense of magic will be palpable. Dumbstruck, I'll see you come over; as the space between us will be diminished in the physical world and in our hearts. Our secrets will be out as whispers in the wind as we float like paper lanterns in the depths of our desires. 

All this while you will be quiet; as they say sometimes words are just not enough.

Antara, someone who has inspired me to blog, who's blog was the first blog that I would regularly read back then, who is one of my closest people in life and add all the mushy love you show for people who you totally care for surprised me with this thing. Guess what...guess what?! Oh right! you guys already know....what a pathetic choice of title to kill the surprise. So yes, a blog award from her made my day. Thank you pagli :D This one made me so proud. Like I got my first job or something...I kid not!

• I have a dance programme today evening for kabi guru's 151st birth anniversary. If you have not heard of Rabindranath Tagore, please Google him and listen to his songs. Trust me, there's something called love at first shot :D With his songs, you'll believe so too.
• I'm tired of studying for 6 hrs stretches at FIITJEE. Gawd, it takes a lott of toughness.
• I miss listening to music the whole day. 
• I keep stuff in my left pocket all the time, not on my right one.
•  coffee @ CCD would be perfect now.
• Shankha and Golu are the perfect two :)
• I had the bestest experience with Nesha this weekend. We had the SCARY HOUSE experience this time after class. It was damn good. We got freakin scared. It's a must visit if you're in Kolkata anytime. Plus a treat to KFC made it even awesome.
